Off-site treatment mainly refers to the combined treatment of landfill leachate and municipal domestic sewage.First to dilute the high-concentration landfill leachate with domestic sewage, and then treat the wastewater. This method can save the cost of setting up a separate landfill leachate treatment system, and reduce the treatment cost. The disadvantage is that the transportation of landfill leachate causes a relatively large economic burden, and the unique water quality characteristics of landfill leachate will impact the operation of municipal domestic sewage treatment plants, and even affect the normal operation of municipal sewage treatment plants.

In-site treatment mainly refers to the spraying of leachate into reservoir area or the establishment of a sewage treatment plant nearby, which is not economical.

Container leachate treatment is an indispensable part of municipal solid waste sanitary landfill project. At present, the main treatment methods of landfill leachate are biological treatment, physical and chemical treatment and land treatment. When choosing from the three treatment methods, we should select the one which can reduce pollutant quantity,be harmless and resourceful.To reduce and eliminate the harm of pollutants to the environment actually.

According to the characteristics of landfill leachate whose quality and quantity varies a lot, the selected process must have strong adaptability and flexibility in operation, and can easily adjust the treatment parameters to deal with the impact of water quality and quantity changes.
